Infrared damage of Abra earthquake penetrated mark P1B – NDRRMC │ GMA News Online

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said on Tuesday that the cost of damage to infrastructure due to the magnitude 7 earthquake that struck the city of Abra has reached more than one billion pesos.

In its 8 a.m. report, NDRRMC said 1,470 infrastructures worth 1,252.288371.81 P1 were damaged in Ilocos District, Cagayan District and Cordillera Administrative Region.

A total of 651,519,209 damages were reported in Ilocos; P32,029,162.81 in Cagayan; and P568,740,000 in the Cordillera.

The NDRRMC said the Ministry of Agriculture reported 1,526,476 damages, while the National Irrigation Administration reported 4.5 million pesos in the Cordillera.

28,702 homes damaged – 28,289 partially and 413 – were reported in Ilocos, Cagayan, Cordillera and the National Capital Region.

According to NDRRMC, 10 people were reported killed and 394 injured due to the earthquake.

A total of 404,370 people or 105,241 families were affected in 1,115 villages in Ilocos, Cagayan and Cordillera.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the July 27 earthquake was located at 17.64 degrees north latitude and 120.63 east – 003 km north and 45 degrees west from tiome in Abra and was at a depth of 17 km.
