Fines and “class bubbles”: new plans to send children back to school – BBC News

The government has put in place plans to allow all children in England to return to full school after the summer holidays. Primary school children will be in class bubbles and secondary school students will be in the “group bubbles of the year”. Social distance will not be enforced. However, older children are encouraged to keep as much distance as possible and not touch each other. If there are two or more cases of coronavirus within a fortnight, large groups can be sent home for self-isolation as a measure. Attendance will be mandatory if parents are at risk of fines if their children do not attend school. Sophie Raworth has presented a report published by Branwen Jeffreys of BBC News at Ten Education.
