At around 2am, the company finally collapsed into administration, stopping 150,000 British holidays and leaving 9,000 jobs in jeopardy. The government has said it would not save the company because there would be no taxpayer money. The biggest refurbishment to date, however, will cost £ 100m. Company executives are required to return bonuses.
