Israel says its soldiers ‘highly likely’ killed journalist Shireen Abu Aqla – BBC News

The Israeli army has concluded that there is a “high probability” that one of its soldiers killed Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu Aqla. The veteran Al Jazeera reporter was shot in the head while covering an attack in the occupied West Bank in May. It’s the closest the military comes to accepting responsibility. The military’s top law enforcement officer has also ruled out a criminal investigation into the soldiers involved, effectively ending the investigation into the case.
