An earthquake of magnitude 6 struck near the Kamchatsk Stari region in Russia.

A strong earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale was recorded this evening in the Bering Sea off the eastern coast of Russia. According to Asismet @Asismet_IF, the earthquake occurred at 6:23 PM local time. The epicenter was located 253 km east of Ust-Kamchatsk, at a depth of 10 km.

The location of this earthquake is said to have been along the Bering Fault, and the shear zone is associated with the Bering Chrysla Plate boundary.
