Over 200,000 affected by natural disasters in Afghanistan: report

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said in a report that the floods and earthquakes that swept through several provinces of Afghanistan affected more than 223,000 people over the past several months.

OCHA said it continues to coordinate the emergency response on behalf of humanitarian partners in all four affected regions – Central, Eastern, Southern and South-East.

It is reported that around 400 people have died during the past month due to monsoon rains and floods in Afghanistan.
