Carson City School District

Students and staff at the Carson City School District shook and rolled in earthquake drills today. The events were part of the Great Nevada ShakeOut, an annual statewide earthquake and evacuation drill designed to teach students and teachers how to protect themselves during seismic events.

“Communities often warn of natural disasters, such as hurricanes, fires, floods, and the like), however, earthquakes can strike suddenly and without warning,” said Ann Sear, director of risk for the Carson City School District. Action to be taken to protect themselves from injury.”
