India has recorded more than 24,000 cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, above Russia. The country is the third largest number of confirmed cases in the world, at 697,413. 19,693 were killed. The latest rise in numbers has also been the rise in cases in several southern states, including Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
