Magnitude 6.6 earthquake strikes Nepal, flattening homes and shaking New Delhi

A 6.6-magnitude earthquake has struck Nepal, killing at least six people and destroying many homes in the western Dhoti district.

The European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) recorded the earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6.

The commission added that the quake was centered 158 km northeast of the densely populated city of Bilibet in the neighboring Indian state of Uttar Pradesh and occurred at a depth of 10 km.

After the quake, media reports showed that tremors were felt in New Delhi and surrounding areas, 350 km from Duty.
