Moscow, ANI. Earthquake in Russia: According to the US Geological Survey, a 5.0-magnitude earthquake hit the town of Severo-Kurilsk in Russia on Sunday. According to the USGS, the earthquake was 67.8 km deep underground at about 00:14:06 (UTC+05:30).

The epicenter was determined to be 49.401 degrees south latitude and 155.606 degrees west longitude. There is no information about injuries yet.

Severo-Kurilsk is a city and administrative center of Severo-Kurilsky District, in the Northern Kuril Islands in Sakhalin Oblast, Russia.
