The epicenter, which was 124 kilometers under water, was at 9.36 south latitude and 115.59 east longitude, or 74 kilometers southeast of South Kuta, according to official information provided by Indonesia Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics. Agency (BMKG).

BMKG stated that this earthquake had very little potential for a tsunami and that no additional precautions need to be taken in Bali, the neighboring Nusa Islands, the Gili Islands or Lombok, where the earthquake was felt so powerful.

The effects of the earthquake were also felt by the people of Java, Madura and Sumbawa, which were widely felt by the people of Lombok.

The earthquake that struck Bali on Monday afternoon caused minor damage to buildings, but no fatalities or serious injuries were reported.
