Make it 2 earthquakes in a couple of days and now 5 earthquakes in a week! Who knew that Dedham was a hotbed of seismic activity!

This morning, Thursday, January 19th, at 9:22 am, there was another earthquake, registering 1.9 on the Richter scale, 6 km southeast of North Penobscot! If you feel like this, you can report it here

This happened after people felt a 1.6km earthquake 6km southeast of Dedham on Wednesday January 18th at 1:07pm and this happened 5 days after two earthquakes rocked Hancock County on Saturday January 14th.

This is now the fifth earthquake in the region in less than a week!

The largest earthquake, measuring 3.3 on the Richter scale, occurred at 1:27 am on Saturday the 14th, 6 kilometers east-southeast of Dedham.

The other earthquake on the 14th was a large aftershock, registering 2.0 just slightly to the east of the first quake, (7km east-southeast of Dedham) this happened at 1:44am if you feel it you can report it here

An earthquake measuring 1.8 on the Richter scale occurred at 7:17 a.m. on Friday, January 13, slightly northeast of the two earthquakes Monday and Saturday morning.
