Obsessive-compulsive disorder: 16 injured in the Davao de Oro earthquake

The Office of Civil Defense said at least 16 people were injured and 97 others were economically affected by a 6.0-magnitude earthquake that hit Davao de Oro City on Wednesday.

In its updated report, the organization said that the earthquake destroyed more than 52 infrastructures and two homes. The earthquake also triggered two landslides.

The OCD office said its field workers continue to assess, coordinate and monitor the aftermath of the earthquake.

Meanwhile, assistance is provided to the victims.

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), the epicenter of the quake, which occurred at 6:44 p.m. Wednesday, was located 12 kilometers north of 29 degrees east of New Bataan.

It added that the earthquake occurred southeast of Compostela in Davao de Oro, at a depth of 28 kilometers.

In a related development, the Ministry of Education (DepEd) has estimated the cost of reconstruction and rehabilitation of the damaged school buildings at 7 million pesos.
