A moderate-magnitude earthquake off Vancouver Island was softly felt along the west coast

A 6.0-magnitude earthquake hit the sea floor 200 km from Vancouver Island.

The US National Tsunami Warning Center in Alaska says a dangerous earthquake wave is not expected.
