The tremors of the earthquake were felt in the cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

PESHAWAR (Reuters) – A 5.7-magnitude earthquake struck various cities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a seismological center said on Wednesday.

The quake was felt in different cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Peshawar, Buner, Malkenad and Swat Valley.

According to the US Geological Survey, the shocks of the earthquake were felt by residents in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan. The epicenter was the Hindu Kush region, with a depth of 187 km.

So far, there have been no reports of loss of life.

Earlier on March 21, tremors were felt in various parts of Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, China and other countries after a 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck the border area between Afghanistan and Tajikistan.

Cities include Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Jhelum, Sargodha, Swat and their vicinity.

PMD said that the magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 6.8 on the Richter scale, and the epicenter was the Hindu Kush region in Afghanistan at a depth of 180 kilometers.
