Huawei UK will be frozen from the 5G network from 2021 – BBC News

The UK will announce that it will not use any new equipment from the Chinese company Huawei from 2021 onwards in the new 5G mobile network. It also means that the entire Huawei 5G kit will have to be removed from UK networks. The United States and some Conservative lawmakers have pressured the removal of Huawei because the Chinese company poses a threat to national security. Huawei has said there is no basis for the complaint. Telecommunications company BT has warned that it will take a decade for Huawei to be removed from the UK’s telecommunications infrastructure.
