APP USERS CLICK HERE California Highway Patrol Division Yuba-Sutter said its 911 mobile dispatch lines are currently down after the earthquake caused a malfunction. The CHP is asking people to call 530-332-1200 if they can’t get to 911. CHP traffic records show a slide was reported at 4:44 p.m. along Highway 89 near Lake Almoner. A 5.5-magnitude earthquake was reported Thursday afternoon and was felt throughout Northern California.

The quake was reported at 4:19 p.m. 2.4 miles southwest of the East Coast, according to the US Geological Survey.

On Friday morning, many in Northern California were jolting out of bed after another earthquake hit Plumas County around 3:18 a.m.

The second earthquake occurred in Lake Al-Munawar and had a magnitude of 5.2.

Several aftershocks occurred near where the first earthquake occurred.

People have reported feeling it in several cities across Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado, San Joaquin, Solano, Coloza, Nevada, Yolo, and Butte counties. There were also reports of people feeling the earthquake in Reno, Nevada.

California Highway Patrol Yuba-Sutter said 911 cell phone dispatch lines are currently down after the earthquake caused disruption. CHP is asking people to call 1200-332-530 if they can’t get to 911.

CHP traffic records show a slide was reported at 4:44 p.m. along Interstate 89 near Lake Almoner. The California Department of Transportation, or CalTrans, said the quake did not cause any structural damage to any of its roads.

The Peninsula Fire Protection District is asking people that if they notice any damage or smell, or see any downed gas or power lines, call 911 immediately.
