Earthquakes rocked a large area of ​​Northern California this week, but only minor damage was reported immediately.

A 5.5-magnitude earthquake centered in the Lake Almanor Resort Area in the Sierra Nevada occurred at 4:19 p.m. Thursday and a 5.2-magnitude aftershock occurred at 3:18 a.m. Friday, according to the US Geological Survey.
