Coronavirus kills Chinese medical informant – BBC News

Dr. Li Wenliang is dead – A man who has become a hero in China after being warned by the coronavirus community. Authorities told her to stay calm, a few weeks later before being diagnosed with the virus itself. BBC China reports that Dr. Li was pronounced dead on Thursday evening.

Journalists and doctors at the scene who did not want their names told the BBC that officials then decided to monitor the flow of information by ordering medical help and changing all official media reports from death. "This attempt to shut down the story seems to have failed – and Chinese media officials are reporting again on Li Li's death.
