An Israeli-Japanese company working together to help Türkiye earthquake victims – Israel News

A Japanese company worked with the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs to provide assistance to victims of the Turkish earthquake this month.

Former MK Zvi Hauser, who was chairman of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, saw an opportunity to combine Japan’s experience in dealing with earthquakes at home with Israel’s strength in providing assistance on the ground in disaster areas.

Hauser is the Israeli representative of the Japanese company Shoei Shokai Metal Products, and suggested that the company donate to the victims of the major earthquakes that hit Turkey this year.

The aid consisted of 300 blankets that could be used for warmth or stretchers for evacuating people, as well as other supplies, which were sent via the Israeli embassy in Tokyo to the Israeli embassy in Ankara.

Israeli diplomats in Turkey contacted the Turkish Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services to ensure that supplies got to where they were needed.
