Jeffrey Toobin: It's Paul Manafort's fault

CNN chief legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin has responded to a federal judge by former Donald Manafort campaign chairman Paul Manafort, who lied to attorney Robert Mueller.

A federal judge has lied to Manafort "intentionally" to lie to Robert Mueller's special office, breaking the deal to become a co-star on the Russian test.

Manafort "made several false statements to the FBI, OSC and the grand jury on issues that were important to the investigation," including contacts with his Russian partner during the campaign, and later wrote to Judge Amy Berman Jackson on Wednesday.

Jackson's verdict is another shocking turn in Mueller's reveal of Russian interference in the 2016 election, as he tried to get through a guilty plea to a special lawyer accused a year later of being a potential colleague.
