Wheat prices rise as Russia bombs Ukrainian grain stores – BBC News

Wheat prices rose sharply on global markets after Russia said it would treat ships bound for Ukrainian ports as potential military targets. Moscow has withdrawn from a UN agreement that guaranteed safe passage for grain shipments across the Black Sea. Since then Russia has been bombing Ukrainian grain facilities in Odesa and other cities. Moscow also warned that ships going there would be seen to be on the side of the “Kiev regime”.
