The UK may end extradition to Hong Kong as tensions with China rise – BBC News

The United Kingdom may suspend its extradition agreement with Hong Kong to worsen relations with China. It is understood that Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab may be among the measures to be announced. It is in response to the new Chinese security law in Hong Kong. This would allow dissidents to be sent from the British colony to the Chinese mainland. The Foreign Office has also criticized Bejing for his human rights abuses against Muslims in Uyghur. The British ambassador to Beijing has threatened to avenge China and accused Downing Street of “dancing to the tune” of the United States.
