EU says “real risk” of UK trade negotiations by year-end – BBC News

EU chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier has said there is a risk that a trade deal with the UK cannot be agreed until the end of the year. After the final round of negotiations in London, Barnier said the two sides were “still far away”, saying that EU fishing vessels would enter British waters. The UK government has confirmed that the division with Brussels is “large”, but has promised to hold more talks until August and September.
