The new IRA says border infrastructure would be a "legitimate attack" & # 39;

In an interview with Channel 4 News, the IRA News said it had committed "armed actions" against border infrastructure – and "the people who control them."

The new IRA has broken the long silence of Brexit, saying cross-border infrastructure would be a "legitimate target" for the attack.

In an interview with Channel 4 News – thought to be the first camera interview in decades – a spokesman for the outlawed group said: "The IRA is an army. We are in favor of an armed struggle for political and social change in Ireland.

"Whereas in any six counties any facility or party of British occupation – whether on the border or elsewhere – any infrastructure would be a direct target against attacks and armed action against those who control them."

The man added: "It has been a limit since 1921. It has been held up. It is resisting. It will be resistant to any agreement around it."
