Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam to remove extradition bill – BBC News
Hong Kong chief Carrie Lam said she would withdraw the controversial extinction law sparked by months of protests.
The proposal, introduced in April, would allow suspected offenders to be extradited to mainland China.
The bill was canceled in June when Mrs Lam called her "dead," but she pushed back.
Total withdrawal is one of the five main demands of protesters, who also demand full democratic rights.
