The global risk of coronavirus is "very high" since Britain died

Boris Johnson reports that Britain's death and the first cases in Northern Ireland and Wales are a top priority for the Government. He said he had discussed with the UK Secretary of Health and chief medical officer, but no Cobra meeting would be held until Monday.

The scope of the virus is rapidly expanding in 60 cases. The World Health Organization says it could reach "most if not most" countries. Nigeria, New Zealand, Lithuania, Mexico and Iceland reported the first cases today.
Most people who died from the infection have been in mainland China with almost 3,000 dead. Outside of China, Iran, South Korea and Italy have been the most victims. Here, 20 people have been diagnosed with the disease – another four in the last 24 hours.
