The US Geological Survey said a 3.9-magnitude earthquake occurred around 2 a.m. Monday. A second was recorded minutes later.

FALLS CITY, Texas – Two earthquakes have been reported in the past 24 hours in Falls City, Texas, a town located about 10 miles northwest of Karnes.

The US Geological Survey said a 3.9-magnitude earthquake occurred around 2 a.m. Monday. Another 2.9 magnitude earthquake occurred about 30 minutes later in the same general area.

The USGS says the strongest quake was reportedly felt in the San Antonio area. This comes after a 3.5 magnitude earthquake was reported Thursday in Falls City.
