Earthquake News Today: Fear and panic gripped residents of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday after a mild earthquake shook the region. According to reports, an earthquake measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale struck parts of Jammu and Kashmir, including Srinagar and Gulmarg.

Tremors caused by the mild earthquake were experienced for a few seconds. No loss of life or damage to property has been reported so far. However, the epicenter and other details are not yet known.

A few minutes after the earthquake struck in Jammu and Kashmir, people in the southern Chinese region of Xinjiang also felt the tremors. According to the National Seismological Center, a 4.6-magnitude earthquake struck the southern region of Xinjiang.
