I will ask a question to which I have not found an answer yet. Why was there an earthquake centered near Taylorville, Illinois? I've never seen one in this part of the state before.

“Weird” is the only word that comes to my mind when it comes to this earthquake confirmed by the USGS near Taylorville, Illinois. It wasn't like it was a huge tremor or anything like that, but any earthquake in the central part of Illinois is weird.

This is the official report from the USGS and it shows that many people in Taylorville, Illinois actually felt this earthquake. The strange thing about how people in Taylorville felt this earthquake is that it happened at 3:45 a.m. in the middle of the night.
