SAN JOSE – Josef Paintsil and Dejan Juveljic each had a goal and an assist to lead the Galaxy to a 3-1 win over the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday night.

Paintsil scored in the 18th minute when he fired a shot with his left foot past goalkeeper Daniel de Souza Brito. Jovelic scored in the 43rd minute when he shot with his right foot from just outside the six-yard area after a decisive pass from Bentsil after a quick counterattack. Riqui Puig scored in the 48th minute. Juvelgic got the assist.
