Two earthquakes hit Plumas County in Northern California – NBC Bay Area

Plumas County was hit by two earthquakes Thursday evening.

One of the quakes was a magnitude 4.5 primary quake at about 6:34 p.m., according to the USGS, which was centered about 4 miles west-northwest of Belden and about 34.9 miles northwest of Chico.

The magnitude of the second earthquake reached 4.3. In the same area, the US Geological Survey said.

Some residents in Solano County told the USGS they felt shaking.
