'SNL Weekend Update' brutally mocks New York City earthquake and Trump over recent mockery of Biden

The hosts of Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update mocked New Yorkers about the city's recent earthquake and criticized former US President Donald Trump for his cocaine comment on current President Joe Biden.

Speaking about the earthquake that shook New York, Colin Jost said: “Well, yesterday, everyone in New York pretended that they felt the earthquake,” adding: “Just admit it, I thought it was wind.”

He described the earthquake as “the best possible disaster” and joked: “It was like the time I saw my father in the shower. It was a bit scary, and there was no permanent damage, but I will remember it for the rest of the earthquake.” my life.”

After his briefing on the New York City earthquake, Jost moved on to discuss US politics ahead of the presidential election, which will likely see a rematch between incumbent President Biden and Trump in November.

Criticizing Trump for announcing that he would face Biden in a debate at any time or place, Jost said that the former US president pointed to an empty podium on the stage.

He pointed out, “Now both Trump and Biden are 80 points behind the podium.”

Trump claimed in a recent interview that Biden was high on cocaine during his State of the Union address in March, saying he was “extremely stressed out.”

“Huh. Looks like Donald Trump knows exactly what it feels like to be a cocaine addict,” Jost said, before playing a clip of Trump nonchalantly dancing to “YMCA” at a campaign rally and then stumbling over his words.

Michael Che criticizes Trump for targeting Biden during 'Transgender Visibility Day'

Another host, Michael Che, commented on the recent controversy surrounding Biden as he was attacked by Trump and other GOP leaders for declaring Transgender Visibility Day on Easter.

Che joked that Trump intends to declare November 5 a “Christian vision,” adding, “Wait, I thought that was called Ash Wednesday.”

This year, the two days coincided on March 31. While Transgender Visibility Day is celebrated on March 31 every year, Easter falls on a different date.

The SNL host also spoke about the bill proposed by House Republicans to rename Washington Dulles Airport after Trump in honor of the former president.
