A 4.5 magnitude earthquake hits Texas

Seismic activity was reported in Midland, Texas on Wednesday afternoon. Reports claim that a 4 to 4.5 magnitude earthquake occurred near Texas at around 18:47 local time (GMT). Minutes after the initial reports, the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ) confirmed that a moderate-magnitude earthquake had occurred in Big Spring, Howard County, Texas.

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) also reported that a 4.4 magnitude earthquake occurred 21 kilometers north of Stanton on Wednesday. The day has already been warned of partly sunny and windy weather with high speed wind gusts in several parts of the states. The earthquake occurred, according to the USGS, at approximately 00:16:45 (UTC+05:30).
