Women who have experienced chronic pain and extreme fatigue after breast augmentation surgery in the Victoria Derbyshire program have said they were not warned about side effects.
Breast implant disease (BII) has no official diagnosis, but some women believe the condition has been restored to health after removing the implants.
The Medicines and Health Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) does not currently recognize breast implant disease, but surgeons, including the Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), are calling for more internal research.
Naomi Macarthur says the symptoms that affected her life began to subside four years after her implants were removed.
