News 9 viewers shared that they felt the quake around 5:53 p.m. Thursday.

According to OSN, the quake measured 3.5 on the Richter scale and was located 4.2 miles east/northeast of Edmond, and 14.3 miles south of Guthrie.

The Oklahoma Corporation Commission issued a statement following Thursday's earthquake:

“The recent seismic activity occurred in the same area that has seen multiple events since January. As was the case before, there is no hydraulic fracturing in the area, and there are no oil and gas wastewater disposal wells to dispose of the Arbuckle Formation.
