Turkish minister urges building earthquake-resistant homes “for the sake of God”

On May 29, Turkish Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Mehmet Ozaski addressed mayors across the country and said: “Let's make this country, these homes more resilient for God's sake. Let's prepare for the earthquake.”

Ozhaski made the comments during his visit to the social housing area to be built by the state-run Turkish Housing Authority (TOKİ) in Kayonu province in central Anatolia, the state-run Anadolu Agency reported.

Ozhaski called on all mayors across the country and urged them to build earthquake-resistant houses together.
