Pyramid Films presents the movie “Olivia and the Invisible Earthquake”

Pyramide Films will handle sales for the animated feature film “Olivia and the Invisible Earthquake,” Variety has learned.

Based on the children's novel “The Movie of Life” by Maite Carranza – which has sold more than 24,000 copies in Spain – the film focuses on 12-year-old Olivia. She sees her life falling apart when her family is kicked out of their home. The family, along with her mother Ingrid and brother Tim, are forced to squat in an empty apartment in a suburban neighborhood.

To protect Tim, Olivia convinces him that it's all just a movie and that they are the stars.

The film is directed by Irene Iborra, and produced by Citoplasmas Stop Motion, Cornelius Films and Bígaro Films, in collaboration with Vivement Lundi! (France) and Panic! (Belgium).

The film has a budget of €4.5 million ($4.8 million), and the producers have secured the participation of the following broadcasters: Televisión Española, 3Cat, À Punt, Movistar+, and RTBF.

Currently, Iborra and her team are filming in Barcelona. The film is scheduled to be ready to be shown in Spanish cinemas by the fall of 2025, where Filmax will distribute the film locally. KMBO will handle France.

On Wednesday, the “Olivia” team premiered a WIP version of the film in Annecy.
