A 3.0 magnitude earthquake was felt in Thrissur and Palakkad in Kerala

A mild earthquake measuring 3.0 on the Richter scale struck parts of Thrissur and Palakkad districts in Kerala on Saturday, June 15, 2024, official sources said.

The National Center for Seismology (NCS) reported that a 3.0 magnitude earthquake was recorded in the area at 8.15 am.

Thrissur district authorities told PTI that the tremors were felt for four seconds. However, there are no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

Meanwhile, officials said the tremors were felt in Kunnamkulam, Erumapeti, Pazhangi and parts of Palakkad district.
