Earthquakes shake San Diego County over the weekend: Did you feel them?

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) – Three different earthquakes struck Southern California over the weekend.

The latest earthquake map from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) shows that three earthquakes shook Southern California over the weekend, the largest of which was a magnitude 3.6, striking west of Salton City on the border of San Diego and Imperial counties.

Another smaller quake, with a magnitude of 2.5, struck about 4 miles WNW of Borrego Springs at 5:32 a.m. Sunday, and was felt only in the surrounding area, according to USGS aftershock map reports.

Saturday night, a 2.9 magnitude earthquake occurred at 11:20 p.m., about 3 miles southeast of Redlands, California. This quake was felt most in San Bernardino and Riverside counties, according to the US Geological Survey's aftershock map reports.

Of the three earthquakes, the one felt the most was the 3.6 magnitude quake that struck at a depth of 10.6 km at 12:17 PM Sunday, 8 miles WNW of Salton City.

Weak to mild shaking was reported from parts of northern San Diego County, Salton City and around Cathedral City, according to a U.S. Geological Survey aftershock map.
