Did members of Swift's Irish band who attended the singer's concerts at Aviva Stadium cause seismic activity?

Around 150,000 fans attended three Taylor Swift shows in Dublin over the weekend.

Seismologists measured the effects of people dancing at the sold-out concerts, and the results are due to be released this week.

Earlier last month, the British Geological Survey said that 73,000 fans at Swift's concert in Edinburgh, Scotland, prompted seismic monitors 6 kilometers away to record seismic activity.

The songs that caused a spike in seismic activity in Scotland were “Severe Summer, Are You Ready For It?” And get rid of it.

Researchers from the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies placed seismometers outside the Aviva Stadium during the shows on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.

They will analyze which songs were the fans' favorites and what was happening inside the stadium.

Tools surrounding the Aviva Stadium will be excavated tomorrow and the data will be analyzed this week.

Lead researcher Eleanor Dunne installed three different types of seismometers around the site thanks to local residents who allowed them to be placed on their property.

Ms Dunn, a PhD candidate at the institute, said earthquakes were “more than just earthquakes” and were created every day in Ireland by transport, construction and concerts.

“Usually Irish earthquakes are so small that we don't feel them, but they happen here,” Ms Dunn said.

“However, it is important to note that the seismic activity generated by the concerts will not lead to any type of earthquake or danger to fans in or around the stadium.”

She has appealed to Swifties to participate in her research.

“I would love for fans to get involved by sharing their videos from the concert with us on social media using #swiftquakeDUBLIN,” she said.
