Milanese residents mistake Travis Scott concert for earthquake

Travis Scott's “UTOPIA: CIRCUS MAXIMUS TOUR” took place in Milan on Tuesday (July 23), and the crowd was so lively that locals mistook the action for an earthquake.

Italian newspaper Il Messaggero reported that many people in the area expressed their concerns on social media. Scott's concert was held at the La Maura horse racetrack, with 80,000 fans in attendance.

The rapper shared a bird's-eye photo of the event on his Instagram account, captioning the post: “Last night was like a dream. No, this is not a dream.” [a] “The festival. Interestingly, the spectacular concert wasn’t Scott’s first. In August 2023, the “SICKO MODE” singer performed a one-off show at the Circus Maximus in Rome, where “hundreds of calls” were allegedly made to local fire services in the belief that an earthquake was imminent. Notably, the rapper called on his mentor Ye to perform live performances of “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” and “Praise God.”

Scott’s UTOPIA: CIRCUS MAXIMUS TOUR will conclude its UK and European tour on Saturday (July 27) in Frankfurt, Germany. From there, the tour is expected to kick off in South America with upcoming stops in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Puerto Rico and Mexico.

The artist also announced on Monday (July 22) a one-night show at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on October 9. In addition to teasing “something for the gang,” Scott revealed that he initially wanted to book the venue earlier in the year but couldn’t due to football season.
