Earthquake hits Swat and surrounding areas

Residents of several areas in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province felt tremors caused by a 5.0-magnitude earthquake on Thursday, causing panic as people ran out of their homes in fear.

The Earthquake Monitoring Center stated that the depth of the earthquake was 104 kilometers, and that its epicenter was located in the Hindu Kush mountain range.

The affected areas included Swat Valley, Lower Dir and other nearby areas, where residents reported feeling the ground shaking.

Despite the severity of the earthquake, there were no reports of casualties or property damage in any part of the capital or its surrounding areas.

Following the earthquake, people came out of their homes in panic and began reciting verses from the Holy Quran. There were no reports of loss of life or property in any part of the capital due to the earthquake.
