Strange earthquake felt by hundreds of people hits St. Louis area Thursday

This strange earthquake struck Missouri at around 3:30 a.m. Thursday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

I have heard several reports posted online via social media of people being awakened by the Missouri earthquake near Old Monroe. The USGS website has immediately received dozens of felt reports as of this writing.

No, this quake wasn't strong enough to cause damage, but it struck in a part of Missouri that doesn't get earthquakes very often. What's also disturbing is that this quake, in a strange location in Missouri, came right after a sudden wave of 7 earthquakes hit near New Madrid, Missouri.
