A magnitude 3.0 earthquake rocks Bremerton, Washington, days after Victoria, British Columbia

BREMERTON, Wash. – A small earthquake occurred in the Bremerton area Sunday morning. This comes after another earthquake in the Puget Sound area earlier this week.

At 7:49 a.m. on September 29, a 3.0 magnitude earthquake struck Initai, Washington, according to the USGS.

USGS scientists reported that the quake reached a depth of 16 miles below the surface of the small town of Washington. Did you feel it? If so, you can report it on this USGS page.

Earlier this week, a 4.0 magnitude earthquake struck near Victoria, British Columbia on September 26, and it could be felt in our backyard here in Seattle.
