Let's go back through local history to the time when an earthquake prediction made by a business consultant turned this entire region on its ear.

Prediction of the 1990 Eben Bruing earthquake

Author Eben Browning snatched up his “15 minutes of fame” in 1990 by saying that New Madrid's mistake would have unleashed the big one on December 2 or 3 of that year. (By the way, on December 2, 1990, I was below ground level in the lower portion of the newly renovated and now demolished Roberts Stadium in Evansville.
