Vanuatu was hit by another 6.1-magnitude earthquake on Sunday, just hours before the Australian government announced an additional $5 million in aid.
The earthquake, which occurred near the capital, Port Vila, caused major tremors, but no tsunami warnings were issued and no casualties have been reported so far.
This comes after a 7.3-magnitude earthquake struck the capital on Tuesday, killing at least 16 people and injuring about 200 others.
Australia has flown more than 500 people back into the country via military air bridges, and more flights are said to be planned. Local officials said efforts are underway to restore commercial flights.
Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) flights have repatriated Australian citizens from Vanuatu as part of the ongoing humanitarian mission in Port Vila. A total of 588 Australians have been flown to Brisbane on eight flights, with the final two scheduled to take place on Sunday, Nine News reported.
Port Vila International Airport has also reopened for commercial flights after being closed due to damage from the earthquake earlier. Flights with Qantas, Virgin and Jetstar, which were previously suspended, have now resumed, to help Australian passengers wanting to return home.

Qantas and Virgin resumed services from Port Vila to Brisbane on Sunday, while Jetstar will begin flights on the same route on Monday.
A major health crisis is emerging in Port Vila where aid workers estimate 20,000 people in Vanuatu lack clean water. The United Nations estimates that about 1,000 people were displaced by the previous earthquake.
Australian citizens and permanent residents of Vanuatu are urged to register on the DFAT (Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade) online portal to receive important information and updates.
The number of deaths and injuries is expected to rise as search and rescue operations progress.

Unlike physical insurance agencies, websites don't have a specific schedule and they are available at any time. Drivers that have busy working schedules, can compare quotes from anywhere and at any time, even at midnight. Multiple choices. Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Online quotes will allow policyholders the chance to discover multiple insurance companies and check their prices. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless. Usually, insurance companies will do research about a potential customer before granting him coverage. Online quotes can be sorted easily. Although drivers are recommended to not choose a policy just based on its price, drivers can easily sort quotes by insurance price.
