47 earthquakes in the Netherlands last year; Less than 2023

A total of 47 earthquakes occurred in the Netherlands last year. Only seven of them were natural earthquakes, 40 of which were the result of gas extraction. This is much lower than last year when there were 62 earthquakes. This conclusion was reached by KNMI on Thursday in their annual earthquake review.
