Addis Ababa, January 5, 2025 (FMC) – Afar Regional State has announced that basic support is being provided to residents who were moved to temporary shelters following the earthquake in the Awash Faintale and Dolesha areas.

The Ethiopian government has mobilized rescue workers to determine the level of seismic activity with special focus on the border areas of Afar, Oromia and Amhara, the government communications service said in a statement on Saturday.
