The earthquake struck California as the state was already battling devastating wildfires that killed 10 people and destroyed more than 10,000 homes and other buildings.

The state is now dealing with two disasters at once after a 3.7-magnitude earthquake shook San Francisco on Friday morning.

The quake was detected about five miles southwest of the Golden Gate Bridge at about 7 a.m. PT.

There were no reports of damage or injuries, according to the San Francisco Fire Department.

“The city government ordered action immediately this morning, and our first responders are out across the city to ensure the safety of our residents.”

The quake appears to have been caused by the San Andreas Fault, according to a USGS map.
